The religious system of today is not teaching the Gospel the way Paul did. THEY'RE. MIXING. IT. WITH. LAW. AND. THAT. IS. NOT. THE. TRUE. GOSPEL. AT. ALL.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
NOT. BY. TRYING. TO. EARN. IT., I.E., LAW.
HEY, HAVE. YOU. EVER THOUGHT. THAT. INSTEAD. OF. OBEYING. GOD. OUT. OF. OBLIGATION , YOU. COULD. OBEY. HIM. OUT. OF. LOVE ?
Romans 1:18 KJV
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Romans 1:21-28 KJV
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. [24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. ... IF Everyman had been born a
sinner (and he was, thanks to Adam's unfortunate decision), THEN he can accept Jesus' gift of redemption in which the old man (him) dies and is replaced by the new man (him). Non-sinners need not apply!!

One all-important point that gets brought home to us about a woman being free to remarry if her husband dies is that the entire Old Covenant dies with the Old man.
Likewise, a born-again Christian is completely free from the Old Covenant. Jesus doesn't impute your sins against you.
Romans 7:1-4 KJV
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? [2] For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. [4] Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Here's how a New Testament believer should read (apply) the Old Testament (Deut 28:1):
" AND IT IS COMING TO PASS. SINCE JESUS. HEARKENED DILIGENTLY. UNTO. THE. VOICE OF. THE. LORD. HIS. GOD. TO. OBSERVE. AND. TO. DO. ALL. HIS. COMMANDMENTS. THIS. DAY. THAT THE. LORD. MY. GOD. IS. SETTING. ME. ON. HIGH. BECAUSE OF WHAT. JESUS. DID. AND. PUT. MY. FAITH. IN. HIM. AND. I. NOW. RECEIVE. THE. BLESSINGS. [Deut 28: 1-14] AND. NONE. OF. THE. CURSES. [Deut 28: 15-68] "
